Threaded Connections and Sealing
Our stainless steel threaded fittings use tapered pipe threads that wedge together as they're tightened. Most installers still apply thread sealant or tape for a reliable seal — unless you choose the version with sealant pre-applied, which skips that step at installation. Flanges, by contrast, seal with a gasket compressed between two bolted flange faces, so the bolt pattern (standard or SAE) has to match on both sides of the joint.
