Solid Oil Spherical Roller Bearings
259 ProductsAbout Solid Oil Spherical Roller Bearings
A spherical roller bearing carries heavy radial loads and tolerates shaft misalignment, which makes it the standard choice for conveyors, screens, fans and agitators. Filling the free space inside it with an oil-saturated polymer matrix removes the relubrication schedule from those positions: the matrix holds several times the oil of a grease fill and releases a thin film onto the raceways as the bearing turns.
Both bore types are stocked. A plain cylindrical bore mounts directly on the shaft; the tapered bore (suffix K, taper 1:12) mounts on an adapter or withdrawal sleeve. Cages are pressed steel.
Operating Limits
Standard fill runs continuously from −40 °C to +85 °C. Keep n · dm below 60 000 for spherical roller bearings, where dm is the mean of bore and outer diameter in mm. Mount with an induction heater only, never above 100 °C, and never wash the bearing in solvent — solvent draws the oil out of the matrix.
