What Is a Linear Guide?

A linear motion guide, also called a linear guideway, is a precision mechanical component that enables smooth, accurate linear motion by recirculating rolling elements between a hardened rail and a moving carriage (block). This linear guide rail system reduces friction to approximately 1/50th of traditional sliding systems, supporting multi-directional loads with exceptional positioning accuracy. Basic Components of Linear Guides
