Minor Damage Reported After Plant Fire

The SKF bearing plant in Hanover, Pennsylvania, experienced a fire that caused minor damage and temporarily disrupted production in 2015.

The incident occurred when flames broke out on a section of the plant floor and quickly spread toward the facility’s high ceiling.

Employees Evacuated Safely

The fire took place in mid-morning and generated heavy smoke.

Fortunately, all employees evacuated the building quickly and without incident, ensuring worker safety remained a top priority.

Firefighters Contain Blaze Before Major Damage

Penn Township firefighters responded promptly to the alarm and successfully extinguished the fire before it caused significant or widespread damage.

Thanks to their quick action, operations are expected to recover without long-term impact.

Previous Incident Logged at the Same Facility

According to Hanover Fire Department records, two fire trucks also responded to an automatic alarm at the same SKF plant in July.

However, no fire was discovered during that earlier call.
