Thrust ball bearing is separation type bearing and its contact angle is 90 degrees, which can only understand axial load and has very low ultimate rotation speed. Thrust ball bearing is mainly composed of seat, shaft ring, steel ball and retainer. The spacer material of Lily Bearing's thrust ball bearing is chrome steel or stainless steel and this kind of bearing can have or don't have bearing channel. The material of retainer includes stainless steel and brass. The main structure of thrust ball bearing has undirectional and bidirectional structures. Undirectional thrust ball bearing can only bear axial load of one direction and can restrict shaft and housing axial moving in one direction. Bidirectional thrust ball bearing can withstand axial load of two directions and can restrict shaft and housing axial moving in two directions. If the diameter of thrust ball bearing is less than or equal to 250 mm, it general adopts steel punching cage; If the diameter is greater than 250 mm, it adopts entitative cage. Thrust ball bearing not only has special appearance, but also need to be careful when installing. When installing thrust ball bearing, we should inspect shaft circle and verticality of shaft centerline by extended dial indicator. Vertical angle should be accord with bearing's precision. There should be 0.2-0.5 mm gap between seat and bearing hole which can guarantee that the bearings can automatitcally adjust and can avoid friction. Thrust ball bearings have advantages and disadvantages. They have better centrality, but compared with thrust roller bearings, they have smaller loads. Thrust ball bearings have advantages of low friction, high rotation speed and centrality. Thrust cylinder roller bearing and thrust roller bearing are applied to low rotation speed occasion, while the rotation speed of thrust tapered roller bearing is a little higher than thrust cylinder roller bearing.
