I have been in Shanghai Lilybearing for more than one month and have learned lots of bearing knowledge these days. Now I share something with everybody, namely four parts of bearing(usually called by people in bearing industry).
1. Bearing Rings
Bearing rings are mainly comprised of inner ring and outer ring and their materials mainly include stainless steel, chrome steel, ceramic and plastic. Different product characters and usage performances depend on different materials:
(1) Stainless Steel Material. Stainless steel bearings have the advantages of job stability, low noise, anti-corrosion, resistant to high temperature, washable and wide application and can be devided into three classes, namely 440 stainless steel bearing series(high rotation speed, but rust), 316 stainless steel bearing series(low rotation speed, but anti-rust) and 304 stainless steel bearing series(low rotation speed, but anti-rust)
(2) Chrome Steel Material. Chrome steel has the advantages of high precision and stong fatigue resistance, so currently it has the largest consumption.
(3) Ceramic Material. Ceramic bearing has the advantages of high performance of anti-corrosion and little effect by cold and heat. So it can be allowed to work under worse environment. Its main materials are zirconia, si3n4 and sic.
(4) Plastic Material. Plastic material is mainly applied to Electrical and mechanical equipment, fitness equipment, food machinery, furniture and decoration materials, etc. Plastic material has the advantages of long service life, good slide performance, wear-resisting, anti-rust, anti-corrosion, light weight and low cost.
The effects of retainer are to isolate the rolling body uniformly, guide roller correct operation, prevent skewed, reduce friction, prevent separation type bearing rolling body fall off and form grease accumulation. Retainer shape mainly includes Wave type and crown and its materials mainly include steel, nylon, teflon, PEEK and torlon.
3. Rolling Body
Rolling body rotates on the rolling surface of inner and outer rings and support bearing and withstand load with sleeve. It can be devided into six shapes according to working environment:
