SKF USA Inc. recently donated $75,000 worth of SKF condition monitoring equipment, software and training programs to the Texas A&M University Department of Industrial Distribution for its new DXP Pump Laboratory. The donation by SKF is intended to help Texas A&M more effectively integrate condition monitoring concepts into its pumping technology curriculum. Included in SKF???s contribution are two portable data collector units ??C an SKF Microlog Analyzer AX and an SKF Microlog Analyzer GX ??C as well as the applicable SKF condition monitoring software and training programs. Using the resources provided by SKF, students will be able to practice condition monitoring procedures on various pump simulators in the lab, and will also have the opportunity to develop a better understanding of condition monitoring in real world situations.
